WHATCOM FARM-TO-SCHOOL
Whatcom Farm-to-School is part of a nationwide effort dedicated to bringing fresh, healthy, and locally produced foods into the cafeterias of local schools.
Whatcom Farm-to-School was launched in 2009, and actively works with all public schools in Whatcom county. They seek to increase awareness and promote healthy eating habits amongst children, setting them up for future health successes. They also work to increase sustainability, and promote the local communities by working with local farmers to help them get their food to school markets.
MARDI L. SOLOMON

Project Supervisor
Mardi is the coordinator for Whatcom Farm-to-School, and is an important part of the Whatcom Farm-to-School team. She was my direct liaison with the overall team and she gave me feedback relating to their needs and desires. She also was who I set the project up with in the first place, suggesting it as a possibility to meet her organizations needs. She also helped me set overall learning objectives and specific objectives for the project. Finally, she provided support to help me achieve success in the project through continuous positive reinforcement.
